Ashish is an engineer turned education sector contributor with over 11 years of experience across IT services, Skill Development and Education with strong desire and commitment to contribute to the tribal/rural education. He has been working in maoist affected tribal Chhattisgarh since 2012  on improving the academic level in schools and empowering community to contribute in the education space. His personal interest lies in involving community to improve academic level in schools, using ICT as a tool for capacity building of teachers instead of students. He is also working on designing a framework around the same. With over 8 years of experience prior to Dantewada, he has worked with corporate like Infosys and NIIT in software designing, using technology for skill development for over 6 years .He has been associated with the education since last 9 years as part of social venture Prarambh and Bachpan Banao and now Shiksharth. He also co-founded AwakIND which was Indias’ first socio-political technology platform in 2008. Apart from this he is also a ‘Teach For India’ Fellow and an Acumen India Fellow. He has been volunteer consultant to small-size non-profit organizations. As a believer and practitioner of philosophy of ‘giving’ he has been volunteering for Daan Utsav ( formerly known as Joy of Giving Week ) since 2010.
